Some more news
Hello,
There are some news, that we would like to share with you.
First, we bought the tickets to Kiev for 07/05/05. We fly from OAK to JFK on JetBlue early morning, then to Paris, France on Delta and finally arrive to Kiev, Ukraine next day on 2:05pm.
Second big thing is that we applied for Ukrainian citizenship for Kirill. It required 1) get birth certificate from Oakland;2) get apostille from the Secretary of State;3) bring everything to Ukrainian Consulate in SF. Keep in mind that we had exactly 2 month to finish everything (from 05/05/05 till 07/05/05). Seems like an easy task, but in fact processing documents is Oakland takes 4 weeks, and the Consulate of Ukraine requires like 6 weeks to decide on citizenship and put Kirill into our passports. It's incredible that we got everything done in such a short time! On Friday the lady from County Clerk office called me to inform that they got our birth certificate ready. So it took 2 weeks and 1 day to get that done. On Monday we got apostille from the Secteraty of State (golden seal on birth certificate) and submited everything to the Consulate of Ukraine. They also promised us to return Anastasia's passport with Kirill's name in it by June 6-th! US passport is also on the way. It should return before 07/05/05, which is exactly what we need! Incredible! I can not attribute it to luck. Praise God!
